These dodgy callers phoned my mum claiming I supposedly had a £4000 debt with HMRC. At the time, I was at a funeral in Ireland and mum told them so. The bloke on the phone was really pushy and even threatened that I’d get arrested in Ireland. Mum was already distressed from the funeral and they really made her anxious. Total scam, don’t trust these people!

I’m with you on this. These scam artists really need to be stopped for good!

I suspect this is a fraudulent attempt. They've mentioned that it's urgent and pressed for a call, or else they threaten to initiate legal action.

On 18th September 2017, I got a phone call from 02031292401. The woman on the other end spoke with an American accent and told me I had to get in touch with customs or the inland revenue about some big sum of money I supposedly owed. It's obviously a scam! I've shared this on Facebook so others don’t fall for it.

This morning, I received a call from a recorded female voice claiming to be from HMRC, saying I needed to contact a solicitor straight away. I just blocked the number and didn't answer, but I can imagine it would scare some folks quite a bit.

Could this be a scam? The caller was really pushy and got quite hostile when I questioned them. It’s really upsetting, especially since I’m unwell and don’t need the extra anxiety.

My mother received the same call twice, and when she called back, they asked for me, even though I don't reside there anymore. Upon telling them this, they promptly disconnected the call! Having worked in a call centre myself, I can assure you that a legitimate UK centre wouldn't just terminate the call like that. This clearly reeks of a scam-best to steer clear of sharing any personal details with such folks!

I got a call from this number and it was quite muffled. The message was barely audible, but the only part I managed to catch was something about them pursuing legal action if I didn’t respond!

02031292401 These clowns tried to con my partner out of £29,620 claiming it was for unpaid taxes. Funny thing is, she’s been gone for over two years now, so obviously they had no clue. I decided to play along for a bit just to mess with them. When he found out, he started losing it, swearing like mad and throwing threats about digging her up and disrespecting her grave. I told him to go ahead, but good luck with that since she was cremated ages ago. That seemed to push him over the edge, and after more abuse, he just hung up on me.

Received a call today featuring a recorded message warning of potential legal repercussions for fraud. The call allegedly originated from HM Revenue and Customs. Quite alarming, to say the least!

I got a voicemail from this really cross woman, sounded American, claiming she’s from HMRC. She was telling me I need to hire a solicitor immediately. Proper stressful!

I received an alarming message urging me not to overlook their call, threatening legal escalation if I don’t respond. They demand a return call from either myself or my lawyer. Strangely, there’s no identification or clarity on who they are or the nature of their communication. It’s likely just another fraudulent attempt, yet I can see how such tactics could genuinely terrify someone unsuspecting.

I've received calls from this number four times today, which is rather unsettling. I picked up on the first occasion, only to be greeted by a pre-recorded message. Since then, I've opted to let it ring through to my voicemail. Unfortunately, there's nothing left for me to listen to. It's slightly alarming, especially considering I've only had my number for three days and it's supposed to be ex-directory.

My mobile has been getting calls from 02031292401 about four times today. Since my phone allows free calls, I tried calling them back. A voice with an accent answered saying Hello HMRC. The moment I asked how they knew I was connected to HMRC, they just ended the call straight away!

I received a rather unclear call regarding tax and some supposed legal proceedings. The voice sounded foreign, and they claimed to be from HMRC. I didn’t disclose any information, but why are they allowed to keep making these calls? Isn’t there a way to put an end to this nonsense?

Got an automated call claiming they're from the HMRC, warning me about urgent legal trouble. I've ignored it and not bothered to ring them back. They've been ringing my work number though, which I never share with anyone - so it’s pretty clear it's just a scam. This is the fourth time they've called in just three days.

Got a call from this number with a recorded message telling me to get in touch with them or my lawyer ASAP or else I’d be sued. Didn’t bother calling back since I teach law and know that real legal stuff wouldn’t happen like this. Looked up the number just to be sure, and found it’s linked to scams. Best to just block it and not engage or share any info. Definitely a dodgy call in my view.

This number kept ringing me non stop claiming HMRC was gonna start legal proceedings. I called back and the person who picked up suddenly started speaking in a strange American accent. When I asked if it was a scam since they didn’t sound like anyone from HMRC, they just went “ok” and then hung up on me. Very dodgy if you ask me.

This number 020312924201 keeps calling me and leaving messages from a lady with an American tone saying something about a lawsuit. She never explains what the case is or who it's about. As I’m a bit older, it’s quite worrying since I have no idea why they’re contacting me at all.

This number called me pretending to be from HMRC, with someone speaking in an Indian accent threatening me about unpaid taxes going back a decade and even asking for my solicitor’s details! I told them HMRC wouldn’t act like that and called out the scam, then they just went silent. Really worried about others falling for this and handing over sensitive info. Be careful and don’t share anything!
