0161 3549075 rang me on the 28/6/16, telling me to get in touch with Heather G. or something like that. They said it was urgent and I shouldn’t ignore it or else there’d be consequences. The voice sounded like some robot woman. After warning me, they finished the call with "Take care" which was weird! I don’t even live in the UK or pay UK taxes, so I found it suspicious and looked it up online - turns out it’s definitely a scam.

What a bunch of fraudsters! Their accents totally give them away. They sound so daft and don't even manage to pick up the phone in the way you'd expect from a reputable business. Honestly, it's quite amusing-those Pakistani and West African tones are a dead giveaway, aren't they? Hilarious!

Got a voicemail saying it was from HMRC heather grey or something like that. So I called back to check if it was legit. The person on the other end got really rude then kept calling me again. This number rang my brother on 18/5/16 pretending to be from HMRC, saying he owed tax from the 2001/02 year. He found it suspicious when they asked for payment in Argos iTunes vouchers. They then accused him of messing about, told him to shut up and hung up. Watch out, those iTunes vouchers have codes on the back that scammers can use to get the card details. Very rude and disrespectful behaviour.

I received a voicemail urging me to ring back a certain Heather Grey from HMRC. When I did, I was told she was an associate there. Curiosity got the better of me, and I inquired about the purpose of the call, only to be met with the absurd claim that we owed a whopping £100,000! Naturally, I pressed for clarification, and to my utter disbelief, they revealed it was all just a prank. Quite the comedy sketch, wasn't it?

Got a call from this number (0203 129 1409) and it was one of those robocalls with a slow-talking American female voice saying she was Officer Helen Grey (or maybe Gray?) from HMRC. She said I had to urgently get in touch with them about my attorney’s info (yeah, right!). No question, it’s a total scam. My mum’s been getting the same calls and it proper scared her, saying she owed £4,000 and’d end up in court and all that. I received a call from this number a couple of times on 17th May 2016. They claimed to be representatives from the Inland Revenue, insisting that I owed them a staggering £5000. They threatened me with imprisonment if the payment wasn’t made within a mere 45 minutes, and were quite insistent on securing my bank details. Naturally, I reached out to both my bank and the tax office, only to be told that I didn’t owe a penny. Today, the same number rang again, but I chose to ignore it. I've since got in touch with my mobile provider to block the number and have also reported the incident to the police.

Tried ringing my sister yesterday, she never picks up numbers she doesn’t recognise, but the voicemail said it was from HMRC, HM Revenue and Customs, and they warned if she didn’t ring back quickly there’d be problems. I received a call from someone claiming to be with the Inland Revenue, asserting that I supposedly owed them £5000. I rang the number just to mess around and waste their time. Ended up chatting with them for like 10 minutes. They said I owe £4000 and if I don’t pay, I’ll be taken to the Supreme Court (probably the one in the States). Now I’m waiting for some ‘top manager’ to ring me back to sort out payment. Got a voicemail asking me to ring 02031291409. Some man, calling himself Dave Robertson, claimed I had to reach my solicitor immediately because HMRC was taking legal action against me under subsection 21 for fraud and HMRC breach. Said I’d be arrested in the next hour and everything I own would be taken. When I asked where his office was, he said 78 Holly St London, but then just hung up. I checked with HMRC and they had no idea about any of this.

Some guy named Michael claiming to be from HMRC phoned me saying I didn’t pay enough tax for 2013/14. He threatened that if I didn’t pay immediately, he’d have no choice but to involve the police and get me arrested for supposedly trying to defraud the government. He also said officers would come to my house, confiscate everything, and freeze my bank stuff. Didn’t even ask for my NINO, address, or any verifying info. Seems fishy, so I’m guessing it’s a scam. We’ll find out in about 40 minutes.
