Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, introducing himself as 'Ronnie Fernandez' from something called the 'Accident Help Line'. He claimed there’d been some kind of accident involving me or a family member. When I asked for his number to call him back, he gave me 0800 639 0500. The moment I told him no accident had happened, he just hung up. I've since signed up with the TPS to avoid any more bother.

Bloody nuisance! It’s mostly people from India calling me, like two or three times every single day. If you’re based in the UK, I’d recommend getting the BT 8500 and signing up for caller ID with your landline company - it typically costs about £2.50 a month. Honestly, it stops you from picking up all those calls you’d rather not. Have a quick search for BT 8500 reviews and check out what people are saying about it.

So frustrating! Just got this number a week ago and already getting calls nonstop - they rang me 11 times just yesterday! I was so fed up I ended up registering with TPS to block them. This guy with a strong foreign accent keeps ringing me every single weekday for the past three months! Today, I got four calls all within 10 minutes from someone pretending to be with a company called something Lifestyle (couldn't make out the name properly because he had a really strong Asian accent). If you keep getting these nuisance calls, it’s worth reporting them to Ofcom - they can fine the call centres up to £2 million! I ignored them at first but nothing changed, they just kept ringing nonstop. Every time I reported one number, they’d start using a different one. It’s been going on for weeks now.

I had a dodgy call from someone pretending to be from the “UK internet security department” or something like that. They told me to open up the command prompt and run netstat, which I figured was no big deal. Then they started saying all the lines were signs of a virus and that my computer was sending out spam emails. I played along for a bit, pretending to be clueless, but eventually told them I work in IT, and that was the end of the call. Just yesterday we had one of these calls come through from 01642878714. Seems like they’re either linked or just grabbing numbers from the web. Anyway, pretty sure it’s a total scam - don’t fall for anything like they say!
