Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, introducing himself as 'Ronnie Fernandez' from something called the 'Accident Help Line'. He claimed there’d been some kind of accident involving me or a family member. When I asked for his number to call him back, he gave me 0800 639 0500. The moment I told him no accident had happened, he just hung up. I've since signed up with the TPS to avoid any more bother.

Bloody nuisance! It’s mostly people from India calling me, like two or three times every single day. Some just greet and then cut off, others claim to want info on some survey or say something about an accident I had recently. Super frustrating and just a massive pain. I’ve been receiving calls from a rather strange chap for the past three months, each weekday without fail. When I inquire how he got hold of my number, he becomes quite belligerent and insists on speaking with someone else in my family. Today, I got four calls all within 10 minutes from someone pretending to be with a company called something Lifestyle (couldn't make out the name properly because he had a really strong Asian accent). I've had a right nuisance of a call from a so-called "UK department of internet security", which was clearly a scam. They tried to get me to open up CMD and run netstat, which, while innocuous on its own, turned into a convoluted charade as they insisted every result meant my computer was sending out spam. I decided to lead them on a merry dance for a while, even mentioning that I work in IT - that seemed to do the trick, as they promptly hung up on me! When I declined to sit at my computer and follow his dubious instructions to halt supposed hackers, he resorted to vile insults.
