I've experienced something quite similar. I found a message waiting for me on my voicemail. I got two calls from 0203 0954710 on 14th August, once around 1:12pm and again about 2:24pm. Both times, there was a recorded voice saying something along the lines of, "This is an official call from HMRC letting you know they're taking legal action against you. Press 1 to speak to your case manager." I reported it to the email address listed on the site, which was simple enough, but trying to report it through Action Fraud was a bit of a nightmare and way too clunky. The HMRC email route was much smoother to handle.

I got two missed calls from this number while I wasn’t home, and they left a garbled voicemail about some HMRC lawsuit. When I answered today, they picked up straight away and prompted me to press 1. They already had my name and address, which freaked me out, and then asked for my National Insurance number. I didn’t give it since it seemed dodgy.
