They called saying I owed about £1200 in taxes and threatened I'd get arrested if I didn't pay up. They even mentioned a past job I had to sound legit. Watch out, it's definitely a scam!

I just got a call from some American sounding bloke, told me to ring back and talk to someone whose name I can't quite remember. They said if neither me nor my lawyer gets in touch, there’ll be legal trouble and all sorts of consequences. Bit worrying, honestly!

Got a ring from this number earlier, some bloke saying he was officer Dennis Grey from the HM Revenue and Customs. He said I had to phone back right away or they'd come after me or my lawyer, something like that. Honestly, it sounded like a proper scam to me. I’d really advise you not to pick up if they call, and whatever you do, don’t return the call!

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC. The number showed up as from the KY area, that’s Fife in Scotland. Seemed a bit dodgy to me, so I didn’t bother with it. Just thought I’d warn others in case it’s a scam.

I missed a call earlier and there was a voicemail from a woman saying she was with HMRC. She warned that if neither me nor my solicitor got back to them, there'd be serious consequences. They didn’t give any personal details like my NI or PAYE number though, so it’s pretty clear this is a scam.
