I got a call from someone saying they were calling from TalkTalk about problems with my modem’s security. They talked me into logging into my computer, and that’s when I started feeling really uneasy. Unfortunately, by then they’d already managed to look through my files, which made me feel horrid. Honestly, these scammers need to be tracked down and put behind bars!

It’s not just a scam, these lot are actually connected to that hacking group that targeted TalkTalk last year! I got a letter from TalkTalk some time back saying my info wasn’t compromised, but turns out that was completely false. If you’re getting calls from them, I’d say make a fuss and push for compensation - they should be held accountable!

I got a call earlier today from someone saying they were from Talk Talk, telling me there was an issue with my internet. I told them everything seemed fine, and they just hung up straight away.

This is definitely some kind of scam, they want to mess with your PC. Best thing is to just ignore the call!

So, this bloke rang me up pretending to be from Talk Talk’s tech support, saying there was some sort of issue with my PC or network. I played along to find out what they wanted me to do, which was run a few commands like checking Event Viewer, looking for suspicious files, and running netstat. Even after I told him I work in IT, he insisted these showed there was a problem. Then he asked if he could take over my computer remotely. I said no and that was the end of it.

A while back I switched from TT and saw a missed call from 0201254875, but didn’t pick up since I didn’t know who it was. The voicemail said I could leave a message if I wanted. What’s really got me on edge is how they ended up with my old TT number. Has TT been careless with customer details or something?

Got a call yesterday from 0201 - 254875, the person said they were from Talktalk. I told em I was tied up and couldn’t chat at that moment. After I ended the call, I rang Talktalk to check and they said it wasn’t them calling. Then this same number buzzed again today, but as soon as I picked up, they just cut the line - maybe they knew they’d already tried once before?

I just got a call from this number, some woman claiming to be from TalkTalk saying my PC was full of viruses or something, and that I needed to log in for them to fix it. I told her I’d call TalkTalk directly instead and asked if she had a proper contact number. She gave me 01212840935. I rang up the genuine TalkTalk afterwards and they said it was a scam, so I’ve blocked those numbers now. Watch out for these dodgy calls - they try to get you to connect so they can take over your computer before you even realise what’s happening.

Got a call supposedly from TalkTalk, they wanted to get into my computer but never asked who I was or for my account info. I just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from an Indian woman who tried to say my name but didn’t get it right. She claimed to be from Talk Talk. I ended the call straight away. This was the third time in two days I’d got a call like this. I rang Talk Talk afterwards and they told me they hadn’t called me at all. They suggested I should block the number.

Got a call from someone pretending to be with Talk Talk, telling me my PC was infected with a virus. The sketchy part was they knew my account number! I never gave that info out though. I told him I’d ring Talk Talk myself to check and then hung up. Honestly, the bloke wouldn’t back off at all, really pushy. Just a heads up to everyone. Do you think reporting this number to the cops is worth it, or just a pointless hassle?

Somebody rang saying they was from TalkTalk, telling me I had to turn on my computer or else I'd be cut off for a whole month. Their English was really poor. I kept asking what they meant and they repeated themselves a few times before I just ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were Talktalk about a virus on my computer. I asked them for my account number and which device they were talking about, but they couldn't give me either, only some IP address. I told them I'd confirm it myself and ended the call. Sounds dodgy to me - don't do what they say, just double check with your actual provider.

Someone rang saying they were from Talk Talk, kept wanting to speak to my partner who apparently holds the account. They mentioned some sort of problem in my area but when I asked which area exactly, the caller asked me to switch on my computer so they could "show me" the issue. I wasn’t having any of that and just ended the call.
