Couldn’t take the call since I was right in the middle of some action with my missus. Honestly, getting a ring like that just as you’re about to finish is pretty irritating. Once I’m done sorting myself out, that number’s getting blocked for sure. Gotta keep things smooth and stay on the good side, ya know!

Got a robo call saying it was HMRC and telling me to ring them back about some court case. Total scam, watch out!

Seems like loads of us received a call at about half past two on the 29th. Probably one of those tax refund scams again.

Dont ever ring them back or share your info, it's definitely a scam.

On the 29th of January 2018, I got a phone call and just had a feeling it was one of those scams. They even dropped a voicemail afterwards.

I was proper anxious when I got that call, especially with the tax return deadline due tomorrow night and I still haven’t done mine! Then it hit me, it’s one of those scams. I reckon they’re earning off the calls people make back to that number.

Just like a few others have said, I got a message telling me I was being watched and that there was some sort of court order against me.

Heads up, don’t get tricked by this! I rang HMRC and they told me to get in touch with the Serious Fraud Office straight away!!

Got a weird message threatening me about being watched and stuff. So, I phoned them up to find out what they wanted. Some bloke answered and claimed I’d dodged taxes and said they’re looking into my finances for the last five years. He also asked if I had a lawyer or something. Then, out of nowhere, he just ended the call. Complete scam, don’t fall for it!

Absolutely disgusting, I feel so grossed out by this scam!

020 0888 0971 - Just like others have said here, these lot are absolutely horrible. They’ve taken their threats to a whole new level of nastiness. Keep making sure everyone reports them, it’s so important.

Looks like they’ve been making the rounds again, just like with all the other calls today. It really got me on edge and a bit stressed. I work as a bookkeeper and handle loads of HMRC stuff, so at first I was worried maybe a client had disappeared or something dodgy was going on. But then I snapped out of it and slapped myself mentally for being daft enough to almost believe that obvious scam.

Just like many others, I spotted right away it was a scam and looked up the number online to check if others had reported it too. It’s awful how these fraudsters prey on those who are vulnerable.

About ten minutes back I got a call from this number, blocked it straight away now.

I rang them back and they immediately wanted my name. I asked who they were and what the call was about, and then they just told me to jog on. Such a rubbish scam, but I can see how it might scare anyone who doesn’t realise what’s going on.

Just like everyone else, I ended up calling him back and gave that bloke from abroad a proper earful over two different calls.

I picked up the phone and got a recorded voice telling me it was from HMRC, saying I was involved in some offence and that my home was being watched. They warned me I'd be in big trouble if I didn’t ring back the number they gave. Definitely a lot more intense than the usual junk calls I get.

With so many calls being logged here today (29/01/2018), it puzzles me why more folks don’t bother with caller ID. Honestly, if an unknown number rings, why pick up? I usually just let it ring off if I don't know the number or if no caller details show up. Most of the time, they don’t even bother leaving a voicemail. Like that one that called me earlier from this number, for instance.

Just like loads of others, I got a call from a different number last week and it wasn’t very nice at all.

Just got a voice message today. I rang them back from a number I didn’t recognise but they never answered. This is the second time I've had this kind of message. When I returned the first call, the person claimed they were from HMRC and said a sheriff was on the way to my house. I asked a few questions and they just ended the call. I’ve already reported the first time it happened to the Police.

Got a really weird recorded message today saying there’s a legal notice out for me, naming me as the main suspect. It also claimed my house was under watch and warned me not to ignore the message. They said I had to ring them straight away or I’d face legal trouble. Definitely sounded dodgy to me!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, saying my house was being watched. When I asked a few questions, they just cut me off. Tried ringing back but the number was blocked. Then I phoned again from a different mobile and this bloke with a strong Asian accent picked up. I told him I was calling from Fraud and Investigation, and he put the phone down straight away. I've reported the number to the National Fraud and Cyber Crime Centre now.

Watch out for this number, its 02008 which looks a lot like the common 0208 London dialling codes. I got a call from them too, and they repeated the exact same line others have mentioned here. Luckily, I see a few ppl have already flagged this as suspicious. Stay cautious everyone!
