For two days running, these numbers 02003331828 and 02033897074 called with a recorded message warning my wife about some legal case - she was quite worried. They didn’t actually ask who picked up or give any names, so I guess it was just whoever answered they were after. The voice sounded “american,” which is a bit unusual around here, I thought.

I got a call from 0218 1507480 telling me I had unpaid company taxes from past years and that there was a warrant out for my arrest. Sounded dodgy to me.

Got a weird call two days running, first from a woman then a bloke, both around the same time. Honestly, if I was working and actually owed taxes, I wouldn’t be ignoring calls just 'cause I don’t recognise the number! These scammers aren't the sharpest, are they? Honestly, if you lot want a proper life, maybe just try finding a real job instead of this rubbish.

Got a quick voicemail saying HMRC had issued an arrest warrant over some money owed and to press one to stop it. Total scam! They’re so daft they even left their number on there. I gave them a piece of my mind back. The number was 02003331828.

Got a call from this number earlier, bloke was banging on about owing the taxman and that the police were on their way or something. Then he went on about me living in SG postcode on Yew Tree Lane - mate, I’m up north! Absolute muppet.

I've received a second call from this number, and it was a pre-recorded message claiming, "I was being sued." I cut the call short immediately.
