02003331532 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02003331532 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving automated calls claiming to be from HMRC, warning recipients of legal action or lawsuits. The callers use threatening language and urge individuals to press a number to speak to a case officer, often resulting in the line going dead or connecting to dubious foreign call centres. Many recipients, including vulnerable people like the elderly, find these calls distressing. Official HMRC communication would never be conducted in this manner, and these calls typically aim to intimidate and potentially extract personal information or money. Users are advised not to engage, to verify through official channels, and to spread awareness to prevent others falling victim to this fraudulent activity.

I just had a rather concerning phone call from this number, claiming that the HMRC is putting us on notice for a lawsuit. They didn't bother to mention any specific names. Out of curiosity, I noted down the number and did a quick Google search, which eventually led me to this website.

Today I got a phone call from 02003331532. It was an automated message with a deep male voice claiming to be from HMRC, saying I was being investigated and that legal action was underway against me. The message told me to press 1 to talk to my case officer. Something felt off straight away. I kept the phone on but the line soon went silent. I decided to call 1471 to check the caller ID. Even though I suspected it was a scam, it still gave me a bit of a fright.

Just like everyone else said, this is HM Customs. If you press 1, they’re threatening to take legal action.

So, I got a call from 02993331532 earlier. A deep voice, obviously recorded, said it was HMRC and that they were investigating me, threatening legal action and telling me to press 1 to talk to my case officer. Something felt off straight away. I kept listening but then the line just disconnected. I used 1471 to check the number, and while I suspected it was a scam, it was still pretty unnerving.

As a pensioner, I recently got a call from this number. It was a recorded message claiming to be from HMRC, saying someone was going to take legal action against me and telling me to press 1 to talk to a case officer. I pressed 1 to try and see who was really behind the call. Someone answered with a "Hello?" but when I asked who they were and what it was about, they just hung up. I knew straight away it wasn't proper HMRC - they don’t contact people like that, and I certainly wouldn’t have given them any personal info anyway. These calls can be very upsetting if you’re not aware it’s a scam. Don’t hesitate to warn your mates and family if you get one, so they can watch out too. If something seems off, it probably is.

Honestly, I felt better after seeing what others wrote here. The same number rang me but my voicemail caught it. We normally let the answerphone handle calls like these. Even though I thought it might be dodgy, it was good to get that nailed down for sure. Cheers!

On 15/09/2016 I got a call claiming they were from HMRC, saying I had legal action pending against me. They asked me to press 1, which I did, but then the call just cut off. Pretty sure it was a scam.

My mum, who lives in a care home, got a call from this firm and it really frightened her. They claimed she was going to be taken to court and told her to press 1 or 2 to talk to someone about her case. Thankfully, I managed to check this number on here and other places, and saw it was a scam.

I got a call from this number earlier, and there was a recorded voice saying HMRC were suing me and to press 1 to talk to someone about my case. I just ended the call straight away and then checked the number online, which showed it was definitely a scam. Honestly, it really freaked me out at first.

I got a phone call from this number 02003331532 and it was some automated voice claiming to be from HMRC, saying they’re getting ready to take legal action against me. They told me to press 1 if I wanted to sort it out. It’s clear this is just some sort of scam - no official body would deal with things like this over the phone in such a pushy way.

I called the number listed above and they told me to stay quiet until they finished talking. They claimed they’d examined my tax returns and found signs of fraud. Apparently, the call was being recorded by the courts, police, and HMRC. They warned that they’d freeze all bank accounts linked to my address, immobilise my car, and arrest me until my case went to court. To avoid all this, they demanded £1147. I almost fell for it, but told them I’d call back. I’ve now reported it to HMRC (who said they don't have a restitution department), my local police, and Action Fraud at the Met. Scary thing is, they already had my NI number and date of birth.

Got a call like that on 9/9/16 too, but I knew right away HMRC wouldn’t just ring up without sending a letter first, especially without any reference number. So, I double-checked with the real HMRC and they said it wasn’t them.

I got the same call, they told me to hit 2 to talk to a case officer. Right after I did, the person said hello and then the call just dropped. Really hoping that pressing 2 didn’t rack up a big phone bill for me! Anyone else experience this?

Got one of those calls too, supposedly from HRMC saying I’m being sued. If you press 1, it takes you to some overseas call centre, and the person on the other end pretends to be an HRMC case officer. Totally a scam.
