So it turned out to be BT ringing about my internet supposedly. I told them I wasn’t home - I’m house-sitting at the moment. I guess if there’s an issue with the internet they’ll ring again, though when I tried calling back the number just showed as “unknown”. Why on earth don’t these callers bother to ask for you by name? They just assume whoever picks up is the right person. My carer, cleaner, handyman or gardener could be the one answering the phone, not me! Honestly, why can’t they just leave us alone? Really annoying and feels quite unsafe.
