Received a call purporting to be from my life insurance company, yet the caller was unable to state my full name. In response, I decided to throw them a curveball with a series of incorrect details.

This number kept ringing for days and when I finally answered, they asked for all my insurance info which sounded really dodgy. I didn’t give them anything, just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. Looks like a classic scam, so don’t fall for it!

Got a call this morning (7th April 2020) while I'm here on the Wirral, Merseyside. Picked up the phone but there was nothing on the other end. Tried ringing it back and the line said something like “you’ve been contacted by the life guys” but it was some sort of robotic voice, really tricky to catch what it said. Seeing what others have said before, I’m just going to block the number now.
