A bloke rang me up, inquiring about an incident I was supposedly involved in. When I asked him when it happened, he mentioned it was last year. I had no recollection of any such event and informed him it must be a mistake – wrong number, mate!

Received a call earlier today, the 5th of October, at 9:07 am, but I chose not to pick up since I'm unfamiliar with the number and location. I suspect it might be a scam. It’s quite worrying, especially for the elderly, who could easily fall prey to such shifty tactics.

I did my usual research on this site and, lo and behold, it turns out to be a scam! What a shocker! I've gone ahead and blocked it, just like I do with all the other pesky numbers that ring in.

I received a trio of voicemails from this number, claiming I had outstanding taxes and was somehow avoiding payment. Naturally, I decided to call back. Upon giving them my name, they promptly had my address on hand. They accused me of dodging taxes since 2013! When I mentioned that my income is too low for tax obligations, they promptly cut the call. Absolute scam! Stay vigilant!

Received a message claiming HMRC is launching legal action against me and urging me to ring back on this number. 😂 Can’t help but think it’s one of those sneaky lines that rack up £5 a minute!
