They mentioned they provided a service to block unwanted calls, but I informed them I wasn't keen on that idea.

When Dad picked up the phone, all he got was some robotic voice that just said, "Goodbye."

When they inquired about him by name, I informed them that he no longer resides here.

A woman called herself Olivia from a landline today. Her English was quite choppy and not very easy to understand, hinted she might be from an Asian background. Strangely enough, she knew my name. She mentioned something about insurance for household appliances. I politely thanked her for the call and hung up.

Naturally, I was then shifted over to another individual, likely a supervisor, who regurgitated the same scripted drivel without missing a beat. It’s quite astonishing how lacking they are in finesse! At any rate, if you’re feeling mischievous, feel free to waste their time. They’re clearly just out to pilfer your bank info and not much else!

This number keeps calling me and never leaves a voicemail, so I've decided not to pick up for anyone I don't recognise. They've been added to my blocked list!

I believe this could be a fraudulent scheme involving home gadgets. Although the number is based in the UK, the accent seems distinctly Indian.

Just received a rather peculiar phone call from a man with a foreign accent, I believe he mentioned his name was Michael. He asked for me directly and even had the cheek to verify my address. Naturally, I didn't oblige with that information. He abruptly ended the call after that. It’s certainly got the hallmarks of a call centre operation, and I'm quite suspicious it might be a scam.

I'm sitting here, twiddling my thumbs for the hospital to get in touch about a pressing appointment, and all I'm getting is a stream of these infuriating calls that are utterly unintelligible. Honestly, it’s high time these nuisances were put out of business.

Got a call from some energy firm going after businesses. Fair play, the Scotsman on the line was pleasant enough and didn't come across as too forceful or reading from a script. However, any conversation that kicks off with "Hello there, can I chat to the person in charge of your gas and electricity?" immediately puts me off. I'm afraid that one’s gone straight onto my blocked numbers list.
