There was a long silence when they first called. They said they were from Vodafone about renewing a contract but I only use a company phone and it’s not with Vodafone. I explained that but they then said O2, I told them again it wasn’t my personal phone, just a work one, then they just cut off. About 30 minutes later I got another call from some random number, didn’t pick up, not sure if it was related.

Got a call claiming to be from Curry’s offering a mobile phone deal. I asked them “Who do you say you’re speaking to?” They just kept repeating “Sir, this is Curry’s” with a strong Indian accent, probably because they had no idea who I was. Bear in mind, Black Friday’s been over for ages but they’re still ringing me! Tried asking “What name do you have for me?” one more time - and then they just hung up on me 😂😂

They said they were PC World, but thats owned by Curry's. How come UK area codes are being used from overseas? The callers had a strong African accent so it was hard to catch what they said. Ive blocked the number now but if its like others they probably have loads of different lines. Honestly, selling area codes like this needs to be banned. All calls should have to display where theyre really coming from.

Oh yeah, totally a scam. Last week I started getting loads of calls from the same call centre. My iPhone would show different UK locations every time. I’ve blocked loads but then new calls popped up this morning, including this exact number. I never pick up these calls and can’t figure out why they’re pestering me on my Czech phone. It’s just ridiculous, someone really needs to do something about these people! Don’t answer, just block this number straight away!

I received a call from a chap speaking with an Indian accent, who was on about loft insulation. Whenever a number pops up that I don't know, I pick up and say, "You've reached Sue's phone." Then, I promptly ask for their identity and the purpose of the call. I usually advise them to ring back in half an hour, after which I simply block the number.
