I received a rather intrusive phone call from what appeared to be a bustling call centre. They claimed they weren’t peddling any products but rather representing a Debt Repayment Line. When I pressed them on who had disclosed my details to them, they were rather evasive and promptly ended the conversation. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

There's a dodgy outfit out there masquerading as a citizens' advice service, claiming they can assist you in getting rid of your debts. Beware, it's a complete ruse!

I received a call from a woman claiming to be affiliated with Currys. I promptly ended the conversation and subsequently blocked the number. Honestly, it’s pathetic how some people have so little going on in their lives.

Received a call from someone insisting they had some exciting offers from Vodafone, despite the fact that I don’t even use their service. They kept prying about whether I was on an Android or an iPhone. The chatter was relentless, so in the end, I decided to cut the conversation short and hang up. Seems highly likely it was just a dodgy scam.

I received a call from a number that appeared to be from Wales, and the fella on the other end was purporting to be from Currys Mobile. However, his accent was unmistakably Indian. It’s clear there’s no legitimate service by the name of Currys Mobile, and the phone I possess is from my current network provider. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a call from 01970450033 at my home on Tuesday, the 12th of October 2021, around 10:08 in the morning. Just a heads up, this appears to be a scammer, so I've swiftly blocked them. Stay alert!

Yet again, I’ve had a ring from a number that claims to be from Aberystwyth in Wales, this time on the 12th of October 2021 at precisely 10:08 in the morning. The number in question was 01970450033, and it's clear these are just pesky scam artists who can’t seem to take a hint. I've finally had enough and have gone ahead and blocked their number.

I received a call from a chap speaking with an Indian accent, who was on about loft insulation. Whenever a number pops up that I don't know, I pick up and say, "You've reached Sue's phone." Then, I promptly ask for their identity and the purpose of the call. I usually advise them to ring back in half an hour, after which I simply block the number. This little trick has proven to be quite handy for fending off those pesky scam calls!

I received a voicemail purporting to be from an Officer Gray with HMRC, asking me to return the call concerning some sort of ‘urgent’ issue. Frankly, it strikes me as rather peculiar that HMRC would reach out in such a manner. Has anyone else encountered a similar call?
