My elderly father-in-law got a call from this bloke who then passed the phone to my missus. He claimed Club La Costa timeshare was in administration and said he could give free legal help to recover any money. We rang up Club La Costa ourselves afterwards and found out it was all a load of rubbish. Just a heads up, watch out for this one.

after looking into it online, ive found a lot of conflicting info about this firm that really makes me doubt their legitimacy. they run websites like (fr) and iliagel###] that seem aimed at tricking people into paying for services that dont actually exist. while they are listed on company house with a director named muthumulla, venkata surendranath reddy, who supposedly lives in the uk but is an indian national, this all sounds fishy to me. i'd be super careful with these guys unless you know how to handle scam attempts yourself.

It’s been over a year and they haven’t stopped bothering me. When he asked for my info, I asked to see his instead. Just like others, his reply was rubbish. I didn’t waste time and told him exactly what I thought.

Got a private number popping up on my phone that called me three times over the past four days. The caller said they were Peter from Windows tech support - pretty sure it’s a scam, really frustrating!

Got a call this morning around half past nine, some dodgy bloke claimed to be from Windows tech support. The whole thing sounded fishy. Seems like someone has been peddling phone lists to scammers who then use them for dodgy purposes. Honestly, they should change the law so only people you’ve actually asked can ring you up.

I've been getting nonstop calls claiming to be from the Windows technical support. Today was the first occasion I actually managed to get the info I asked for, like the Windows license key and a phone number to ring them back on. Obviously feels dodgy, so that's why I’m looking it up here. Sad to say, these calls are still coming through even though someone reported this back in February! Watch out!

On 8th July 2016, I answered a call early morning from someone speaking with a foreign accent - the phone flagged it as an "international number." The caller claimed to be from Microsoft, saying my computer had been sending out error alerts for the past three weeks. Right away, I found it suspicious and told him, "My computer hasn’t been on or even hooked up all that time, so can I have your number to report you to the cops?" Got a call from someone called Peter who claimed to be from WMC006, similar thing happened like what others have said about getting a message on my computer. I told him I wasn’t by my computer so I’d ring back later. He then said the number wasn’t from Microsoft and that they just made the computers and offer support separately. Got a call from 01962441001 claiming to be from Microsoft Windows. They said my computer had been hacked and files damaged. The person asked me to click the Windows logo at the bottom left and hit R to bring up a report with a registration number they supposedly needed to fix my system. I told them I was busy and they'd ring me back, but there’s no way I’m picking up again! Such scams are everywhere, so watch out!

Got a call from someone saying they were from the tech support team at a place named Space LED Technology, supposedly on Victoria Street in London. They told me to open the event viewer on my computer to check if some services weren’t running, then tried to get remote access. Felt off straight away.

i got a call from someone pretending to work for microsoft windows saying my pc was hacked and they needed to get in to fix the issue. it sounded dodgy so i checked with my work IT department and they told me it’s a total scam. if anyone rings you like this, dont let them anywhere near your computer - they’ll mess up your files and then try to charge loads to sort it out.
