So I got a call from this guy Matthew, said he was from some Energy Advice thing. Sounded a bit like a robot but kinda believable. He first asked if I owned the house and my age range. Then he wanted me to spell my last name, and when I said they should already have it, he just went ahead and answered a question I never even asked! Really odd.

I got a call from someone called Chris, he didn’t say any company or government body, just that our area apparently has lots of damp issues in lofts and offered a free survey for today. He kept asking if I owned the house, I said yes but made it clear I wasn’t interested in the call. Chris just thanked me and hung up. That’s why I looked up the number 01962 441052 to see what’s going on.

This was a total rip-off about timeshare claims. They kept at me so much about changes to my timeshare, but mine was sold more than 25 years ago! Got fed up and had to just hang up on them. Proper annoying.

Got a call from someone claiming I was due a refund about a timeshare. I said thanks and that I’d be waiting for the cheque, but honestly I’m fed up with these dodgy calls and scammers. So I just ended the call right there. When he rang back a few seconds later, I just ignored it completely.

All that stuff about changes in laws and regulations about timeshare sales is just a complete scam. Don’t believe it for a second.

Like a few others have mentioned, they claimed they could help me get some sort of compensation for a timeshare I gave up nearly two decades ago. The bloke seemed quite convincing and I shared a bit of personal info, like my date of birth, but I didn’t give any bank details. He told me someone would ring back to set up a zoom chat, but after seeing this website, I decided not to pick up the next calls - they phoned my landline twice and right after, I got calls on my mobile as well.

Someone rang up saying they'd got my info from the "Timeshare Register". When I asked them for more info on the register so I could get my name taken off, they just told me to look it up on Google. They also insisted I'd agreed with my old timeshare company to share my details for 99 years. Total nonsense, all of it.

These people are clearly trying to scam you, so don’t respond or call back as it just gives them more chances to trick you. Best to stay well clear of them, like you'd avoid a nasty virus or something.

My mum’s 90 and she keeps gettin calls about a timeshare she got rid of more than two decades ago. Its a proper timeshare scam - they just won’t leave her alone.

I usually just leave calls from numbers I don’t know unanswered, especially if they pop up on my phone display without a name. If it was something important, they’d leave a voicemail, but most of the time it’s just some kind of scam. I also avoid picking up any calls that say ‘International Call’. Honestly, having a phone with caller ID really helps to dodge all these spam calls.

Got a call this evening from someone going on about some law changing and how I can claim back money or whatever. I told him I needed to check with my brother first, and he said he'd ring me back in about a week. After seeing these comments, I’m definitely thinking of blocking the number now.

it was about getting a refund for a timeshare we dont have anymore. we just wanna steer clear of it, feels like it might cause more trouble than it's worth! a polite english lady called and was nice enough to take no for an answer. but the thing is, callers keep ringing from loads of different numbers (blocked em all). to me, it feels like pestering rather than anything seriously risky.

I was a bit slow answering the phone and couldn't tell who was on the other end. It might have been for my husband since he was expecting a work call, so I tried ringing back. The line showed connected but there was no sound at all, so I just ended the call.

we got a call about getting a refund from a timeshare we don’t have anymore. the lady was very polite, sounded English, and was fine when we said we weren’t interested. still, calls keep coming in from loads of different numbers (we just block them). honestly, it feels more like bothering than anything threatening. we’d rather just not get involved and leave it be, no need to stir things up!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from some sort of European court department about an old timeshare I bought. They said they could help me get all my money back, including yearly fees, and that it was a no win, no fee deal with the timeshare company. They tried to book a Zoom meeting with some legal expert to kick off the case. Definitely steer clear of this, looks like a total scam to me.
