4 yearsI've been getting hounded by this incessant spam caller. It's really quite tiresome!4 yearsI'm convinced this caller was attempting some sort of scam! He pretended to be ringing from the council, saying they were addressing issues with housing repairs. I've since blocked the number, as I definitely don't deal with the local council.4 yearsi got a call and they called me by a name i don’t even use anymore, when i told them that wasn’t me they just ended the call straight away.4 yearsAs soon as I picked up, the person just hung up straight away. Seems like one of those annoying scam calls to me.4 yearsSo this number rang me a few times, like three or something. I finally picked up and they started going on about Virgin Media or whatever, sounded a bit sketchy if you ask me. Their English was all over the place, I barely caught what they were saying, ended up just hanging up on them. Seems dodgy to me!Virgin Media4 yearsI keep getting calls from this voice but the number and location keep changing, are you actually going to do something about it?5 yearsGot a couple of calls from them but no voicemail or anything. Then they rang once more but switched the final number to a7. Didn’t take any chances and blocked it straight away.5 yearsI got a text from this number saying £799 was about to be taken from my bank because of some Amazon order. It told me to press 1 to talk to customer support. I did, feeling really panicked. The person on the phone, sounded like he was Asian, asked me for some kind of ID code to cancel the order and get a refund. I gave him the code and suddenly a page called AnyDesk or something popped up. I told him I couldn’t download it because my phone and laptop were full. Meanwhile I was pretty angry, shouting and crying at him to just cancel it all. Then he passed me to another guy briefly before they both hung up. He even told me to stay calm and said if I didn’t, they’d take another £799 from me. After the call, it struck me how weird it was that someone genuine would ask for ID to cancel an order like that. I rang my credit card and debit card providers straight away and they said nothing had been taken, and confirmed it was definitely a scam. Sorry for rambling, but just wanted to share so others don’t get caught up in anything like this nightmare.AmazonAnyDesk5 yearsHey, just a quick note about the 799.00 from Amazon mentioned earlier - the correct number was actually 07775692778, not 01933 829936. Could’ve just been a wrong number or something.
