Got a silent call earlier. When I called back, some woman asked for Mrs ___ but used the wrong last name. Then she mentioned something about my Aviva insurance, which I don’t even have. After I didn’t confirm the name, she quickly ended the call. Voice sounded like an Asian lady from a call centre. Definitely blocked the number now.

The caller actually called me by my first name, which caught me off guard. When I asked what they were after, the bloke started quizzing me about what life insurance I had. I told him it wasn’t really the right time to talk about it since I’m dealing with a terminal illness. But instead of dropping it, he pressed on, asking exactly what illness I had and how long I’d had it. That was enough for me, so I just ended the call.
