Got a call from a bloke named Paul, said it wasn’t a cold call and he was ringing from some place called Home Watch or something like that, claiming they were contacting every house nearby. He wanted to know if I was the owner of the house. I told him to tell me who he thought he was speaking to, as if he didn’t know my name then surely it must be a cold call, which I reckon is against the law. He didn’t say another word and just hung up on me.

Somebody called me claiming to be from an energy firm, saying our neighbourhood is using too much power. I don’t even live at that address or own the place, so it was weird. I probably should’ve asked which area they meant. It sounded like a robotic message at first but when I told them I wasn’t interested, they actually said thank you. So, not sure what that was about.
