Sounds like one of those dodgy PPI calls to me.

I reckon the polite Asian guy was probably trying to talk about PPI or something similar. I told him to hold on a sec, then I popped off to make a cuppa, but when I got back he’d vanished. Seems like the longer I keep them waiting, the fewer folks get hassled. Bunch of pests!

I've had loads of annoying calls like this in the past few weeks. Now I only pick up if I recognise the number, coz someone pretending to be from Talktalk scammed me before. I was informed that they were dispatching some materials, and when I politely declined, the representative became quite abrasive, questioning my decision with, “Why would you say no?
