These smart meters just seem like a way to charge people more for their electricity. They don’t really lead to cheaper bills at all. They claim to talk about some gas and electric account in my name, but I still live with my parents so it’s not mine. I’ve reported this number through Which and also sent an email to Utilita Energy’s customer service asking them to take my number off their list. I’ve had to block around 5 or 6 different versions of this number now. There’s a petition you can sign online too, which aims to push the government in the Commons to actually tackle these annoying calls.

I get calls on my phone non stop, so I signed up with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) which is free. It takes about 28 days after you register before you can complain about the companies that keep calling you. When you complain, TPS contacts them to ask why they’re ringing and tells them to stop calling you. If they keep on bothering you, you can report it back to TPS and they’ll deal with it further. Hope this helps, coz I’m absolutely fed up with these annoying calls.
