I reckon they nabbed my number from those Indian survey callers, the ones called PERFECT BENEFITS. I told them if I answered their questions, I didn’t want any more calls after. Got calls from an energy company claiming I won some competition. When I asked where they got my number from, they just wouldn't say. Been receiving daily calls, really annoying. Best to just block and ignore.

Yet another so-called 'energy supplier' (really just a firm handling billing for the real ones) calling up to pitch a cheaper deal. Once you’re signed up, they push hard for a Direct Debit, then just withdraw whatever amount they want from your bank without asking. And good luck getting your money back when you complain.

A woman with a Geordie accent said she was ringing from the ESB, the Electricity Supply Board. I told her I was having dinner (which I really was) and she said she’d ring me later. No idea what it was about. They knew my name, so it’s clear someone’s given my info away. Number’s blocked now.
