I just bought a new phone and this number's rung me 3 times already. I usually ignore calls from numbers I don’t know, so I haven't picked up. Orange or EE normally send texts rather than calling, so no idea why they’d be ringing me. It's really annoying! There should be some sort of rule to stop this kind of pestering.

I just had a chat with someone from 150 Orange/EE customer care, and it turns out this number isn’t actually Orange. It’s some third-party pushing you to sign up for a new contract. Best to just ignore any calls coming from this number.

They rang me three times within just six hours, so I finally picked up to find out what was going on. Turns out it’s some firm working for Orange, sorting out contract renewals. When I asked why they’d called so often, they said loads of companies ring like that and it probably wasn’t them before. I told them, “Unless all these companies share the exact same number (which they don’t), it was definitely you - I’ve got the call log to prove it!” I don't get why they reckon they can deny it when they clearly don’t keep track of who’s calling and when. Surely this kind of behaviour just ends up with people complaining? What’s the limit for calls in that space of time anyway?
