Scottish Power's daily standing fee on my current gas and/or electricity plan is about three times more than what others charge. Some of their other plans have even greater standing fees. Since I use only a little energy, half of my bill is now just these daily standing charges - feels like getting ripped off. It's Scottish Power calling. We recently switched away from them as they couldn’t beat a deal from E.ON since we're existing customers, only offering better rates to new ones. This happened with E.ON a few years back, and with Scottish Power before that. We keep bouncing between those two. When they asked why we were leaving and we told them, they just said, "Sorry, we can’t do anything about that." If you threaten to leave a mobile provider, they’ll usually match or improve an offer you’ve got elsewhere, so why is it different with energy companies? It’s frustrating!

I’m switching from Scottish Power to a cheaper company, but they keep ringing me and never saying what it’s about. They’ve also been pestering me about my contract and this smart meter stuff I really don’t want. It’s getting annoying now.

I told Scottish Power I wanted to cancel because of their rubbish admin. Then got a call from 0191 671 9984 for them but they spoke to my wife as I wasn’t in. The guy said he’d phone back in half an hour - been two hours now and no sign of him. Just read here that there might be more calls coming. Guess we’ll find out!!

Honestly, no clue who they are, but they ring up loads every single day. Never bother to leave a message either. From what I’ve seen in other comments, looks like it’s Scottish Power. I’m switching to Octopus since they’re a bit cheaper.

I never picked up, but from other texts it seems like Scottish Power, who I'm trying to get away from. Honestly, dealing with them has been awful, so this site is pretty useful to identify and block their calls.

Got a call from a Newcastle area code but no voicemail left. From what I've seen in other comments, looks like it's Scottish Power, and I haven't anything to do with them. I've just blocked the number now.

I’ve just moved away from Scottish Power and I’m saving more than £400 a year now. But since I left, they’ve been giving me the whole don’t go attitude. Honestly, if they keep it up, I’ll just block their number next time they call.

Got called twice today but didn’t pick up. Had a quick search of the number and from what I read here it’s Scottish Power. I’m switching to a cheaper provider so I guess they’re trying to persuade me to stay? Not likely, their prices have always been way too high. They never leave a voicemail either. I use BT call guardian on my phone, so I only get calls if they say who they are, but I was interested to check who had rung me. Like some others here, I’m leaving Scottish Power after being a customer for 40 years because of ongoing issues over the past six months. They keep telling me it’s sorted, but the problems keep popping up. I’m switching to Octopus, and after putting in my annual usage, I’m looking at saving around £170. I’m quite a low user, so that’s about 23% cheaper for me.

Didn’t pick up. Looked up the number afterwards. I’m in the middle of switching from Scottish Power and not keen on chatting about any other plans, so I’ve just blocked it. Been quite fed up with them for some time now.

Yeah, it's Scottish Power we're ditching. They did come back with a better deal but why didn't they do that straight away? Even so, their prices still ended up a lot higher each year compared to Yorkshire, and I don't think Yorkshire even shows up on the usual comparison sites.

Guess I’m now on the hit list for annoying calls from Scottish Power. Just got a silent ring from this number and after looking it up, I ended up here. I’m switching too, got myself a cheaper deal elsewhere. Looks like I’m in for a lot of nagging and persistent calls soon. Fantastic, isn’t it?!

This number 01916719984 keeps calling me, like 3 times over the last couple days. I never pick up since it stops ringing pretty quick, and I have no clue who they are.

Got a call but they didn’t leave a voicemail. When I looked up the number, it was Scottish Power. Funny thing is, I’m actually cancelling with them because my bills got way too expensive. Cheers to Martin Lewis and his website for showing me how to keep a few hundred quid in my pocket each year! Bye bye Scottish Power, took long enough to ditch you!

I’m so pleased to have finally left Scottish Power. Their customer care was rubbish the whole time I was with them, and they kept pushing me to stick with their awful tariff. Now I’m on a better deal that’s much cheaper.

Scottish Power keep ringing me non stop because I’m switching suppliers. I just ignore their calls now. I’ve signed up with E.ON for a dual energy plan which is cheaper than Scottish Power’s. Their standing charge is only 9.3p compared to SP’s 22.5p! Honestly, Scottish Power’s prices are just outrageous. Leaving them has definitely saved me a fair bit of cash.

Got calls from this number half a dozen times over the last couple days, but they never left a voicemail so I just ignored them. I'm actually cancelling my Scottish Power account, and after seeing everyone's comments I'm pretty sure it's them ringing to try and get me to reconsider. No chance of that happening!

Been getting nonstop calls from Scottish Power for days now, even though I've made it clear I'm switching suppliers. Told them I’m not interested in any new offers and I’m certainly not wasting time downloading their app. Just wish they’d stop hassling me already. Think I've had about 10 calls in just three days - so irritating!
