Called asking for a specific director but got the wrong name. Once they said the person wasn't available, I didn’t push it any more.

Got a call meant for someone who's not even part of this place. The person went on and on about card machines and how they could beat the prices, all while never actually saying who they were. When I asked, they got all awkward and only then mentioned their company. Honestly, you'd think they'd be trained to introduce themselves first before launching into a sales pitch. Whoever's running the training at that centre needs a serious wake-up call!

Got a call from this bloke claiming to be from DOJO, trying to flog me a card reader. Told him I’m already with DOJO, so if he was legit, he’d have definitely realised that straight away! Total scam, watch out.

Got a call claiming to be from World Pay about renewing our card machines. They ask for someone by name, so I just gave them a made-up one. When I said nobody with that name works here, they tried to find out who they should actually speak to. I've dealt with this kind of thing way too often to get caught out! Kept telling them we’re not interested but they kept ringing. I’ve had to block the number now.

I had a really bad experience with this company. They kept chasing me hard trying to get me to buy their stuff and warned me not to join because the nagging wouldn’t stop once you’re in a contract. Felt like they were just trying to push me around and take my money. Honestly, it seems like a dodgy firm that’s just out to take advantage. I’d say steer clear and if you’ve already signed up, make sure to quit as fast as you can. Definitely not reliable!

Worldpay keeps ringing me up about giving out a free card reader and they just won’t accept no for an answer. They call me loads of times and use different numbers every time, like this one here. Honestly, if a firm has to pester folks like that, I doubt they’d be a reliable one to do business with.

Today this number rang me while I was up here in the Scottish Highlands. It didn’t leave me any voicemail, which is a bit strange since my phone usually goes to voicemail if I don’t answer. I had a quick look at the reviews and saw plenty of bad ones, so I figured it wasn’t worth ringing them back.

They ring my charity workplace practically every single day. They claim the MD (but only give the first name) has contacted them regarding payment machines. That’s totally false. We keep telling them to send an email to the MD and they’ll respond if they want to, yet those calls just keep coming.

Got a call earlier from noisy place, bloke sounded like he had a Geordie accent saying "We're World Pay" and "better rates for you". I've been with WorldPay for like 30 years and they never asked any normal security stuff. Seemed fishy, so I rang up WP through my proper account. The woman there said she phoned the number back and someone answered with "Scottish Power" instead!! Definitely something dodgy going on here.

I got a card reader from Worldpay through their sales crew and honestly, it’s been brilliant so far. People get quick to call it a scam but if you actually pick up and listen to them for like a couple mins, you’ll see they legit know their stuff. Give ‘em a proper chance before jumping to conclusions.

I got a call from someone claiming to be the Worldpay sales team. They sent me an email afterwards so I could confirm they were legit. Turns out, they actually work in a call centre named ResQ that handles outsourced calls. This is a genuine number, not some sort of scam.

This number has been ringing me up almost every day, twice a day for about a week now. I don’t pick up since I’ve got no connections to the place it says it’s calling from. Surely, if it was legit, they'd have left a voicemail by now. I’ve just gone ahead and blocked it.

Judging by what others have said, it seems this company might be legit but uses the same phone number to ring up real customers and also people cold-called. I’m in the cold call camp since I run a business but have zero use for card processing, so to me it’s just spam. I reckon they grabbed my number off my website, and no doubt they'd argue that since I "put it out there" I’m open for these calls - shame they didn’t bother reading the note next to it explaining it’s only for genuine enquiries, not random marketing.

I heard that WorldPay's sales calls are now being handled from Seaham instead of Gateshead. Seems like they’ve moved their outbound sales team to a different location. Not sure if this means anything for us, but just thought I’d share!

This call came from the WorldPay small business department, but I reckon they handle this stuff from an offsite branch. They managed to connect me to customer support and gave me my accurate merchant ID, so it’s definitely legit. Maybe give them a chance and check before jumping to the conclusion that it’s a scam.

So, I was looking into card machines for my charity and accidentally filled out a form for Worldpay. Since then, they haven’t stopped ringing me. About a couple of days ago, they phoned just as I was meant to have a meeting about the machines, but I told them it’s been pushed back to the 29th. Even after explaining that, they keep calling twice a day or more. I’ve clearly said I won’t have any info until then. Not planning to go with them at all!

Honestly, it’s pretty straightforward - if you don’t recognise the number, just don’t pick up. I’ve been getting calls from this same number for days now and I just end the call straight away. Best to only answer numbers you’ve actually saved in your phone, saves all the hassle.
