I ignored the first call, but when they rang me again, I answered and somehow they managed to help with my haemorrhoids. Pretty weird but I guess that worked!

They keep ringing my phone but never say anything, the call just lasts maybe 20 seconds before hanging up.

I'm actually part of the Scottish Power SME team, so I can confirm this is them calling. We handle new business accounts for small and medium enterprises. The reason there are no voicemails left is that we're not permitted to do so by law. If you’d like us to stop reaching out, just answer and politely request us to remove your number from our calling list, and we'll make sure it happens. No need to be rude, just a straightforward request and we'll take care of it.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, no voicemail left either. Classic sign of dodgy callers or just annoying telemarketers. Best bet is to just ignore it and for sure don’t ring them back!

Someone called saying they were from Scottish Power but I’m pretty sure it’s a total scam.

Typical scam call saying they were from Scottish Power, which was totally untrue. It quickly turned into a fraud attempt when they started asking for money. I've reported the whole thing to the new police fraud hotline.
