Never heard of anyone from South Shields so I was a bit iffy and left it ring out. After looking it up here, seemed like a scammy number so I've gone and blocked it now. Seriously, when will the government step up and deal with these scammers? Why aren’t the cops, phone companies, or Ofcom cracking down with proper call blocking tech like they do in the States? It’s about time something was done about these annoying and risky calls.

In the past hour, my landline has been bombarded with around five calls from them. It's seriously irritating!

I tried calling that number from a different phone and the message said the number was not valid. Better not pick up if it rings you.
