Got an email saying I could get a £2k loan from some place called affordable loans ltd, but they want me to pay £50 upfront for insurance. The message was riddled with errors and the sender’s email looked dodgy as - something like PP e@gmailf###Icome on @gmail##]. Seriously, what sort of firm uses a sketchy Google address? Whoever’s behind this, you really need to think twice!

We got scammed too, so we reported the number to Action Fraud. Would definitely suggest anyone else do the same if they get these calls.

So this bloke David Martin told me he’d have Hari call me within 30 minutes. Thought I'd have some time to do a bit of digging first. Turns out I did my research and yep, they’re definitely scammers.

I'm not too keen on these dodgy characters who think they can get away with whatever they please. It's quite off-putting, really.

I'm quite unsettled, to be honest! The caller seemed to have all my personal information at their fingertips. They claimed that my bank owed me £2000 for some insurance I had previously taken out, but then they went on to demand a payment of £280 first. It's utterly ridiculous, to say the least!

I’ve received three missed calls and an email claiming to be from Halifax, stating that they owe me some money. They had my address and date of birth too, which makes me think it’s definitely a scam!

Someone named Hari rang me, saying he knew I was looking for a loan and gave me an unbelievably low rate. He asked for my bank info and seemed to already have loads of my personal info. Then he wanted £50 straight away, and kept pushing so much that I had to tell him he was coming off way too pushy before I just hung up. The interest rates he mentioned were a joke, and honestly, his whole manner was way too forceful for me.

Some bloke named David Martin rang me from overseas, claiming I was owed £2385 and had an email waiting. He somehow knew my full name, birthday, and where I lived. Definitely a scam, don’t trust it.

Got a call from some bloke saying he was with a company run by a Dave Martin. He claimed they were sending money back to me for overpaid bank fees. Then he tried to get details to get into my account. I just hung up, but they kept ringing from the same 0191 number and a couple of mobiles. Total scammer. Proper low-life, just ended the call straight away.

Got an email about a £2000 loan, but they want me to fork out £50 first for some insurance nonsense. Total scam! 🖕

I've received three calls from this particular number, accompanied by an email claiming that my husband is supposed to receive a £2000 prize. However, to unlock this supposed windfall, he's required to remit £120 first. What a blatant scam! What's particularly concerning is that they seem to have personal details like our address and my husband’s date of birth.

I received a rather peculiar phone call earlier, where the chap on the other end claimed to represent Lloyds TSB. He insisted that I was eligible for a £2000 payout due to having switched my overdraft to a different account. Strangely enough, he had access to my date of birth, email, address, and all those sorts of details! When I pointed out he had the wrong email (an outdated one, no less) and urged him to cease pretending to be from Lloyds, he became noticeably flustered. He seemed to suggest that if I wasn’t interested in the money, that was entirely my choice! Quite the encounter, I must say!

I've been approached by someone named Alex Brown, who’s attempting to swindle me. He’s insisting that I hand over £50 so he can supposedly secure £2000 in return. Quite the cheeky scam!

Got a call from some bloke called Dave Martin at reclaim assistance, said he had a £2000 cheque for me from some old bank account. Wanted me to send 10% before he’d release the refund. I told him legit claims don’t ask for money first. He shouted at me and hung up, saying he’d keep the cheque. But how would he cash it if it wasn’t made out to him? Total scam.

I got contacted by someone promising me a loan if I paid them first, which sounded suspicious right away. They kept asking for extra cash, saying it was necessary to secure the loan, but of course, I never received any money. It’s only after you try to follow up and report them that you realise you’ve been conned. Loads of people have lost anywhere from fifty to six hundred quid to this scam. Be careful, it’s a proper dodgy setup.

Got an email and some calls from a bloke overseas who somehow knew my bank info and birthdate, telling me I had a cheque for more than £2000 waiting at my bank. Sounded really dodgy to me. He said he'd send me a pic of the cheque on WhatsApp, still waiting though... definitely a scam.

My mate got roped into one of these deals where they promised a loan after paying a fee upfront. Then suddenly they were asking for extra cash too. You think everything’s sorted and the loan’s on its way, but it never shows up. Most folks don’t even realise they’ve been tricked until they try to find out why their loan didn’t come through and start asking questions. Loads of people have lost between £50 and £600 in these scams. Really sneaky stuff.

I keep getting calls from this bloke who’s really pushy and rude on the phone. What's weird is he acts like he knows loads about me, even though I haven’t told him a thing - not even my name. It’s pretty unsettling how he seems to have personal info without me sharing anything.

some guy called david martin, said he was from reclaim assistance or something. i tried checking the company but couldn’t find anything solid. he asked for my old claim info linked to a bank account i don’t use anymore. said i could get about £2385 but then wanted me to pay 10% upfront straight to them. sounded too sketchy, so i gave it a miss.

I get called like 5 times daily, but whenever I answer or return the call, there's nobody on the other end and it just goes silent.
