I got a call from this number, the person said they were from HMRC and that some new rules about debts had changed and they were threatening court action unless I got a solicitor. Something felt off so I told them HMRC doesn’t call people like this. After that, the caller started getting a bit rude. I kept telling them again it was a scam and later reported it to the police through the Action Fraud site.

Some bloke from India called me up all intimidating, saying I was supposed to be in court and there's a warrant for my arrest 'cause I supposedly owe £5000. He threatened consequences if I didn’t pay and told me to get a decent solicitor or else I could just settle over the phone. I started off a bit nervous, but as we talked more, it felt dodgy - especially when he said his name was Mark Smith, which didn’t seem right and his English was rubbish. Watch out for these scammers, they’re out there scamming folks every day.

Got a voicemail saying some 'Sarah Wilson' wanted to get in touch with me. When I called back, an Indian guy picked up. This scam is just ridiculous. I get so annoyed with folks doing this kind of thing because it could really freak out vulnerable people who might ring back believing there’s some kind of emergency. Got a call from someone named Christabelle claiming she was from HMRC’s London HQ. I asked her why she was calling North Shields, but her English was rubbish and she kept putting me on hold. Then she goes on about a case going to court tomorrow - I said “Which court? It’s Saturday!” and she just snapped, “Why don’t you understand me?” She started rattling off some dodgy statements. dodgy lot! ive got 5 calls from these fraudsters, each time from a new number. just like others have said, an automated voice claiming to be sarah wilson from hmrc, warning about legal action. some of the numbers they’ve used are 01892 710879, 02895 817 301, 020 3807 4580, and 01274 792457. definitely dont ring them back!

Got a voicemail with the same message but it was pretty unclear what they wanted when I called back. They never mentioned my name and claimed I owed some £39,000 because of a tax error. The message was supposedly from a Sarah Wilson, but when I rang back, an Indian woman said Mr Wilson wasn’t around. I then phoned someone at home who told me it’s definitely a scam. They’re trying to get your bank info. I’ve already reported it to Action Fraud and the police.
