Then they offered to put my number on the do not call list, which was really straightforward. I’ve signed up now, so I guess I just wait and hope the calls stop.

Try getting a BT 8600 phone with built-in call blocking. It could let you block all their numbers at once, like blocking the entire 01915 area code for Sunderland calls, or even just the 01915 805 prefix if that’s where most of their calls come from. That way you dont have to block each number one by one. Worth a shot if you’re tired of their calls!

If you've got a landline, have you considered getting a BT 8600 phone with call-blocking? I think the BT 8600 lets you block calls quite broadly, like all numbers starting with 01915 (Sunderland postcode). You can also set it to block more specific prefixes like 01915 8, 01915 80, or 01915 805, depending on what numbers these annoying scammers are using. I’d recommend doing a quick Google search for “BT 8600” to check out all the features. Or, you could call BT SALES on 0800 44221 and ask them what they suggest. Fingers crossed it helps stop those pests! :-)
