A lady rang my hubby's phone while he was driving, so I answered. She just went on and on with some sales spiel. I told her I wasn't interested and that I didn’t quite get what she was on about, then she got all pushy and annoyed, so I ended the call. Proper rude and pushy, now blocked her number.

He refused to say who he was. Asked for Dawn (forgot the last name) and when I said that wasn’t me, he wanted my name. I told him I wasn’t giving it since I didn’t know him. Then he said ‘oh, so that’s how it is’ and hung up. Definitely blocking this number.

Honestly, I reckon there should be a rule that anyone calling should have to say who they are before the call goes through. Don’t think everyone would like that idea though!

Got a call claiming they were from "first call" doing some kind of survey. They threw a bunch of random questions at me about everything from delayed flights to boilers, seemed like they were trying to gather info on all sorts. Bit annoyed when I started messing around with their questions and then they just cut me off.

Could be radio, TV, anything really LOUD like rock music lol. Even better, get a whistle and blow it right by the phone LOUD and sharp! Been doing this for years and finally got some peace lol

This number rang me up wanting to talk to my dad, they even knew my parents’ address and last names and said they were from some government office. I passed on my dad's phone number and then he started asking my dad really personal stuff about how much my parents earn. My dad wasn’t at all happy with the call and told them to ring me instead and that I’d deal with it. It’s definitely a scam, don’t ever give out your personal info to anyone on the phone if you’re not certain who they really are.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, sounded like she was in a hectic call centre. She totally couldn’t hear me, coz when she asked for (my name), she didn’t catch my reply at all. I usually pick up these calls just to tell them to take me off their list.

Got a call from a woman, I think her name was Chloe, and she was proper rude on the phone. I asked her to take my number off their list but she just wouldn't do it. I even said I'd report it if she didn't stop, but she kept being nasty. Stay well clear!!!

Got a call from this number. The quickest way I found to stop them is to say you've registered with the TPS and that they'll be hearing from the authorities about harrassment. Usually shuts them up pretty quick. The TPS, if you don’t know, is a service that stops companies from calling you out of the blue with adverts or other unwanted stuff.

A guy with an Indian accent rang my 14 year old daughter from a place that sounded like a noisy bar, saying she owed money which is rubbish. When I took the phone, he tried to get our bank info and wouldn't say what company he was with or how he got our number.
