Got a call from someone claiming to be from Duncan Donuts saying we were in big trouble or something. Wouldn’t let me speak to their manager or anyone in charge. Mentioned something about being cousins? Total nonsense, just blocked the number.

They ring me loads during the week, but never answer when I pick up. If I do manage to get them on the line, they end the call straight away.

The caller started with "hello Miss Wright," but I quickly told them they had the wrong person. When they realised I wasn’t Miss Wright, there was no sorry or anything from them. It soon struck me this was probably some kind of scam. They just kept rambling on while I ended the call. The number popped up as 01928 717581 from the Runcorn area. I've blocked it now.

This morning, my partner received a call on their phone from a number purporting to be Bulb Energy. They were asking for me, alleging that I had an outstanding debt with them. The odd thing is, I've never had any dealings with this company at all! In fact, I was completely unaware of their existence until today!

I looked it up and apparently it’s linked to some sort of car club. Problem is, I don't have a car and probably never will, same reason I haven't got a house - just too expensive. They didn’t leave any voicemail, so who knows if it’s legit or some dodgy scam. Either way, I’m not picking up 0191 375 8757 unless there’s a proper reason, and joining a club ain’t it.
