They keep ringing us up pretending to be from BT, saying our internet will be cut off if we don’t press ‘1’ or ‘2’. Since we don’t use BT for our internet payments, we instantly knew it was a con. I usually put the call on speaker and just leave it. Just had a chat with BT and found out I can block this number through my MyBT online account, which I’ve just done. Looks like I can also block calls from ‘number withheld’ too - hopefully that’ll stop these annoying pests.

Complete rubbish. There really needs to be stricter rules on spam calls or the TPS needs to get way better at stopping them. Any company ringing you up should at least be registered in the UK, like any proper business. If not, their number should be blocked from business use. Trying to work from home and getting about 10 annoying calls every single day is honestly so frustrating. Already got 4 calls before 10 this morning.

I got a call too from some bloke named "Roger," sounded like he was talking with a Bombay Welsh accent, and he was asking for the person who had this number before us. It was another one of those calls from the Telephone Preference Management lot. He didn't really listen much, just kept chatting away, so I just left the phone down and carried on with what I was doing, then picked it back up when it started ringing again.

This guy Roger, sounded Indian, said he knew about my call protect and asked if I was still getting spam calls. When I asked where he was ringing from, he just brushed it off and started talking about blocking long distance spam calls. Still wouldn’t say which company he was with. I told him obviously some calls slip past since he managed to ring me! I said I’d block his number and then he just hung up on me!! Proper cheeky, he shut me down before I could!

I've received a trio of calls in less than an hour. The first call was simply silent on the other end. Not long after, the same number popped up again, so I decided to let the answerphone handle it. To my annoyance, they just hung up and decided to attempt reaching me once more. Honestly, these callers are starting to be rather bothersome.

Got a call about some new Telephone Preference Service update to stop international calls. I played along for about 45 minutes without giving any details. After a while, I told them they sounded like scammers, which really annoyed them and they started yelling. So, I just hung up.

I've received a staggering eight calls from this number today! After just a few rings, my phone automatically rejects them. I've attempted to call back, but it's perpetually busy. So, I got a call from someone saying they were from Telephone Preference Management Services. This bloke, calling himself "John," wanted to know if he was talking to the owner of the number, and if I was Mrs xxx or if my partner was Mr xxx - even had our address and postcode (all stuff you can find online anyway). He went on with his usual spiel, even using the phrase "hense with" - who even talks like that now?? I tried to get a word in but he just kept cutting me off. That was my cue to give him a bit of a mouthful! Then he just ended the call.

The line was so rubbish I had to keep asking him to say it again like four times, sounded like he was from India or somewhere. Each time he spoke faster and I understood less, so I just ended the call. Looks like from other reviews it’s exactly how it usually goes.

It was quite apparent that the caller was an Asian lady who claimed I had won a complimentary upgrade intended to prevent unwanted calls. She proceeded to inquire about my address, then asked if I was under the age of 85, followed by questions regarding my debit card information. I firmly told her to sling her hook and cease her scamming attempts.

Spoke with an Indian accent, claimed to be from the telephone preference dept. That’s a dead giveaway right there since the legit group is called TPS. Ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

These lot seem to reckon my number is linked to someone else's place and name, kept calling loads - some dodgy TPS call. I ended up chatting with them for like 10 minutes before they gave up 😂 Just casually asking them loads of questions. Proper giggle that!

I received a call less than an hour after I had dealt with another dodgy number, 0128743854. The moment I picked up, I hung up almost immediately. A man with an accent that wasn’t local was on the line, claiming he could assist with stopping pesky calls and even upgrade my service. Since I hadn’t requested any such thing, it dawned on me that this was likely a scam.

01909482074 rang me pretending to be from the Telephone Preference Service. It sounded like an Indian call centre, and the caller said they had my info from that service. They asked if I owned the landline and whether I was still getting loads of annoying marketing calls, which I admitted I was. They said they’d put a stop to it straight away, so I thanked them. Then, out of nowhere, they said "thanks for nothing" and just ended the call. After that, they called three more times every half hour. Honestly, some folks have zero respect. haha

I signed up for the Telephone Preference Service but ended up getting two calls this morning! They never bother to say who they are at first, just ask if I’m the owner of the number. When I asked why they wanted to know, they had no answer. That was when I realised it was definitely a scam. What a waste of time!

This happened to me too, the initial call came through but they hid their number, I could tell it was a scam and ended the call straight away. Then today, someone phoned again but this time they didn't bother hiding their number and simply hung up, so I’ve blocked that one now. After looking up the number, it matched the ones from before, so I figured I'd share my experience here. Watch out for these lot, they want your personal info. Just block the number and let others know!

I’ve been getting calls from this number, and it’s eerily similar to a few others I’ve had of late. Occasionally, it’s paired with that 01275258449 number. It’s bizarre; there's absolutely no sound on the line, as if the caller's device has no microphone at all. Quite unsettling, to say the least!

Bloody scammers are nonstop today, got four calls from this number within an hour, plus an extra three from their other number 01275258449 earlier. Total annoyance!
