On 27th July at about 6.30pm, I got a call from someone named Andy Lawson who seemed really sure of himself, telling me there’d been some funny business with my business account. He even mentioned an old address of mine to make it sound legit. The number showed up as Santander on my caller ID, so I almost believed it. But when I rang Santander’s fraud team, they told me straight away it was a scam. Really sneaky stuff!

Got a call from this number saying they were Santander and that there were supposed changes happening on my account. The call quality was terrible, really scratchy and hard to hear. They did mention my address right, but then wanted more personal details which I refused to give because it felt dodgy. I told them it didn’t sound right and then the call just cut off. Don’t ever hand over your account number and sort code or you’ll end up losing everything. If Santander's your bank, make sure you ring the number printed on your card before doing anything. There’s been some dodgy scam messages popping up here pretending to be from the bank to get people to block the real contact. I’d say this number shown here is probably not legit. Didn’t pick up the phone. Thought I’d have a quick look here. Santander usually sends a text if there’s something up with your account, they don’t just ring out of the blue. Definitely a scam, best to ignore it.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Santander fraud dept. They even knew the last 4 numbers of one of my accounts. But the moment I said, “I don’t trust this, banks don’t usually call,” they just hung up on me. Feels really dodgy and like a scam. Honestly, watch out if you get a call from this number!

I got a call supposedly from my bank about some dodgy transactions on my account. They asked me straight away for security info and even wanted the last four digits of my old card. Normally my bank always double checks with me before any purchase and would never ask for details like that. Watch out, it seems dodgy!
