I've received a call from this number a minimum of six times today. The last time I picked up, there was an individual on the other end with an Indian accent, claiming to be from a firm I supposedly subscribed to for blocking nuisance calls. He mentioned that my card was up for renewal. I tried to clarify that I’ve never financially committed to such a service (though I have looked into blocking numbers online, but I didn’t divulge that), and I firmly stated I wouldn’t be paying anything. He got rather aggressive, repeatedly using my name and personal information. Got a call today from someone saying they were from a TPS call-blocking outfit. The bloke sounded Asian but said his name was "Alex Wilson" - like anyone buys that! This bloke said he was Tom Adam Jones from BT Call Blocking Service, but he had a really thick Indian accent. He wanted the expiry date from my card for paying BT call blocking, which I don’t even have. I told him I suspected it was a dodgy call just after my card info, and he hung up straight away. Never share your card info with anyone who calls out of the blue!

Got a call from someone claiming to handle Telephone Preference Management. They asked me for the three digit security number on my card and also wanted my telephone preference management number, which weirdly was right there on my Visa debit card - basically the sort code and account number. When I mentioned today’s date, they pretended to type something into their system for verification. Total scammer, just trying to get my bank info.

I had the misfortune of receiving three calls today from a dodgy lot purporting to be from the Telephone Preference Service. Each time, it was some foreign chap on the line, insisting that my subscription was about to expire and that they needed to 'update' my details.
