8 yearsToday, on 03-01-19 at 9.01am, I got a voicemail on my landline from a bloke with a pretty obvious foreign accent. You could tell right away he wasn’t from around here. His tone was quite pushy and a bit threatening, like he had some dodgy plan in mind. I had already told him on the answering machine to leave a message since no one was able to pick up at that moment, but he kept hassling me to answer. Honestly, it’s not on! Older folks could easily get quite shaken up or even worse, end up giving away sensitive info like banking details to scammers like this. It’s not exactly rocket science to figure this out, especially with landlines which are so easy to track. So why hasn’t someone knocked on his door and stopped all this nonsense?
