I received a rather dubious phone call from someone insisting that my warranty for the washing machine had lapsed just a fortnight prior. They offered to assist me in renewing it, which seemed a bit fishy. As I pressed him for more details, he seemed to stumble over his words and abruptly disconnected. Quite the dodgy character, if you ask me!

some woman rang me claiming to be from bt call blocking team, asking if i was still bothered by pesky calls. she went on about how they’re trying hard to get rid of them but need more time to fix things. i asked which company she was with and she just ended the call. she spoke english well, had an accent but sounded quite convincing. it wasnt till she asked for my card info that i got suspicious. honestly, better not pick up these calls.

Got a call from someone trying to sell me a cover for my washing machine. Not interested at all.

Got a call from a woman, sounded foreign, saying my internet would be cut off within 24 hours. She told me to press 2 or 3 to speak to TalkTalk support about fixing the issue. Seemed dodgy if you ask me.

Got a sketchy call, pretty sure it was just some dodgy scam.

Got a ring from this number the other day, saying I should renew some kind of breakdown cover for my washing machine. Thing is, my washer is pretty old and I don’t recall ever having any insurance on it. Feels dodgy to me, probably a scam.

I got called about some washing machine insurance I apparently had, but I told them I wasn’t aware of any insurance like that. Then the person just hung up on me. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

yesterday I got a call from some guy sayin our washing machine cover was nearly up and he could sell me a new policy cheaper. sounded fishy cause usually those things cost more on old stuff so i hung up quick. I checked the number with 1471 and was surprised to get it, so I rang my insurance today and they told me outright it was a scam.

kept getting calls about some warranty on my washing machine, and weirdly the person knew the brand and model. tried to warn them to stop ringing me but got hung up on halfway through. sounds like one of those dodgy scam calls or just plain annoying.

Got a call from some washing machine scam, totally dodgy. Didn’t fall for it and blocked the number straightaway!

Just blocked them and they rang again! They claimed it wasn’t them calling, but the number showed up alright. Still pushing that insurance nonsense, saying my car hasn’t been insured for a decade. Then magically it’s a follow-up from the original policy. I asked why they never bothered to ring me six years back when it ended. And then they hung up!

not really sure about that.

They rang, asked for my name, then just cut off the call.

I got a call where the person asked if they were talking to me by name, I said yes and then they just hung up straight away. Weird.

Got a call on our business number, we're in Manchester and have no clients near Worthing. Figured it was a spam call, so happy I didn't answer.

Got a call but no message was left. I could hear noises in the background, sounded like a call centre or something. Seems like the amount of spam calls is just getting ridiculous.

Today, this number gave me a ring saying my washing machine warranty had run out and asked if I wanted to renew it. Thing is, I never got a warranty on my washer in the first place, so I told the bloke he’d dialled the wrong number. Then he just swore at me and hung up. Feels like a scam trying to fish for bank info to me.
