For the last couple of days, I've been getting calls from this number saying my washing machine warranty needs renewing. I knew straight away it was a dodgy call since I’ve never insured with them. When I told them I wasn’t their customer before they could even try to sell me anything, they just hung up on me. Proper scam if you ask me.

I’ve had a number of calls concerning something about a 'cover for my washing machine'. When I mentioned this, the woman on the line abruptly disconnected. I tried ringing the same number back, but all I got was a cheery ‘goodbye’ message. Quite peculiar, I must say!

Got a call from this number about renewing my cover for my home appliances. The guy rattled off the appliances I supposedly had covered and started quoting prices for renewing. I told him I didn’t think he was from the company I’ve got my insurance with. He then mentioned cheaper options if I paid upfront for two or three years. When I asked how much, he said for three years it’d be over £300. I wasn’t impressed, told him he wasn’t my actual provider and that the price seemed way too steep. After that, he just hung up. Had a few calls like this recently and assumed these kinds of calls were meant to be banned now.
