Pretty sure this was a scam call. The guy was really pushy, saying he was from some collector agency and I owed more on my electric bill. He had my name, number and address which freaked me out a bit, but that was about it. He didn’t know much else which made me certain it was fake. Just a heads up, he talks fast and tries to sound legit, so watch out!

Absolutely a pain, they call daily asking for someone who doesn’t live here and try to fish out your personal info. Feels like a scam or those data mining folks.

Yesterday, I received a rather unpleasant call from 01872266134, where the individual on the other end was aggressively insisting that I owed money. He claimed that a former energy provider, with whom I’ve settled my bill, had handed my details over to them. When I expressed my intention to verify this with the energy company, he became exceedingly rude, interrupting me continuously, and ultimately hung up when I questioned his legitimacy. It was quite clear he was after my card information on the spot. Do take care if this number contacts you!
