I had callers on about debt and honestly, they were so rude and aggressive over the phone.

I had a debt collector ring me up, and when I said they had the wrong number, they started getting really pushy. They kept threatening to call back over and over until I put through the person they were after, even though I explained I didn’t know anyone by that name. Ended the call and blocked them straight away.

I got a missed call from this number, which might be a legit debt collector going by the name MIL. Earlier this week, I phoned 01872 266 something (can’t remember the last digits exactly), and the last three digits on the missed call were different, so it could be another line from the same office. The firm I had called first seems to be genuine though.

I've had an unpleasant encounter with these debt collectors. They rang my phone looking for a chap-I'm definitely not him, being a woman-and when I pushed back against sharing my personal information, they turned quite hostile. They even warned me that they'd keep pestering me, which is exactly what they've been doing ever since. Quite distressing, really.

Some random person rang me on my phone looking for someone else, but when I said I didn't know them, they started getting really rude and said they'd keep ringing until I said who I was. Obviously, I didn’t tell them. They rang back again a week later, like today, and got pretty hostile again because I still wouldn’t give them any info.

So this woman rings me up sayin she's from some debt collection lot in Stoke, right? But the number's from Truro, miles away down in the south. I asked her about it, and she instantly turned all hostile. Thing is, I’m not one to back down easily. Told her I’m well aware where she does her job and mentioned I’ve got a chainsaw ready. Next thing, she just hangs up on me! Fair play, I think I won that round.
