Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from some sort of Accident investigation firm. She said it was about someone who used to live at my place having had an accident within the past few years. I asked her plenty of questions and it quickly became clear she had zero details - no names, no dates, nothing. When I asked why I should hand over any info, she got all flustered and snapped at me to be quiet and pay attention. We ended up having a bit of a row before she just hung up on me. Honestly, I can’t believe people mess around with this nonsense.

I decided to keep him chatting for a bit since I was bored, and figured it might stop him pestering someone else. I told him there were seven people here with cars, and asked who exactly he wanted. He said he was calling from the UK. Like others have said, it was a dodgy call about an accident that supposedly involved my wife, and he even mentioned her name. Got a call from a man with an Indian accent who said his name was Alex. He claimed he was from Accident & Compensation UK, said they were located in Oxford. He asked if I'd had any recent accidents and told me I could get compensation because it wasn’t my fault. When I told him I wasn’t interested, he said he'd already spent £100 of his own money on my case and that it would be a waste now! Bit of a strange excuse if you ask me haha.

I gave her a password, and she also took down my husband’s car registration, date of birth, and address. After I hung up, I looked her up on Google to check, feeling a bit uneasy now. I got a call from someone claiming to be from a personal injury firm about a claim from December 2015. They spoke really good English, but you could tell they had an Asian accent. They said they were based at Oxford, postcode ox56 fb, which I pointed out is not a valid UK postcode. The guy said his name was Brian Williams, then passed me over to a supervisor called Jack Wardson, who also had a similar accent. When I asked more questions, they suddenly said they must have dialled the wrong number. The number that showed up on my caller ID was an Oxford number, 01865 589969.
