Got a call from 01865 289581 claiming to be from University of Oxford about some Covid treatment study and they wanted me to send them my details if I was interested. Seemed a bit fishy to me. How did they even get my number? I only sent in a Lateral Flow test result, so not sure why they’re bothering me.

Got a call about some accident I supposedly was in. When I asked where they got their info, the woman just said "The Accident Department". She hung up on me after that, said she didn't have time to deal with people who weren’t interested. I always try to keep these scammers chatting as long as possible, better they waste their time with me than with someone who might believe it.

I told them I was sceptical and had already hired a solicitor. I asked if they knew my name, but they said that's handled by a different team. Told them it sounded like a scam and that I wasn’t convinced. The guy asked if he gave me my name, would I let them handle the case, and I said no, then he just hung up. Looks like a classic scam, hope no one gets tricked by it.
