Got a call on 12/06/2018 from [+441872487982], but it went straight to voicemail. The message left sounded like this: "Important legal action concerning your name. Your property is being monitored. Someone rang my lad’s mobile and left a voicemail claiming the house was being watched. I could tell straight away it was some dodgy scammers tryna con decent folks into ringing expensive numbers or some similar trick. Absolute scum, bottom feeders, proper dirtbags. They should be out ferrying drunks home at 3 in the morning in minicabs, but instead they lurk online, hiding and cashing in on people’s good nature and trust.

Absolute con artists. They claimed I was involved in some legal case, that my home was being monitored and every step I took was watched, telling me to ring them straight away or face court action. Nearly rang them back just to give them a mouthful, as they’re clearly targeting old and vulnerable people with these scary threats, probably aiming to scam money out of them. In the end, I contacted the police on 101, who told me to report it to ActionFraud at www.actionfraud.police.uk. The officer explained there isn’t much the cops can do if the call is from abroad.

Got a call from an Oxford number with a robotic voice claiming to be from HMRC, saying my name was flagged and I’m being watched. Proper scare tactics! I rang my mate earlier today, letting her know she was owed some cash from HMRC. Instead of being helpful, the caller started scaring her with threats of a warrant and prison time! Considering she's got a little one and is juggling a full-time job, she panicked and dashed home, waiting for the police to show up. Got a call a few minutes ago from a bloke claiming I’d done dodgy things with my tax and owed £849. I was proper panicked and stressed out. Then he said if I didn’t pay up, I’d be jailed for 3 years and arrested within 10 days. He also warned me not to hang up or it’d cause big trouble. At the end, I told him I’d speak to my solicitor. The guy shouted at me, said I was wasting government time and gave me a case number. I rang HMRC straight away, and they said it was a scam and my tax code was fine. Honestly, I was shook up for hours after that.

Got a voicemail saying my name’s linked to some lawsuit and my house is being watched, and if I don’t ring back on 01865589555, I’ll be prosecuted. Didn’t bother calling back, but I have reported it to action fraud.police.uk. Honestly, I’m so fed up with these scammers.

Got an automated call saying I’m involved in a police probe and my home is being watched - sounded really frightening at first.
