Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT's tech department. She wanted me to access my computer so they could supposedly check its internet security (as if I’m falling for that!). I told her I couldn’t do it at the moment but noticed her number showed up on my caller ID (which was legit). I said I’d call back when I had the time - gave that excuse just to end things quickly. Right after that, there was a bit of silence and then the call just dropped.

Got a sketchy caller who keeps ringing but never picks up. They don't speak English and seem dodgy. Watch out, might try to fish for your email info.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying they're from BT, saying there's an issue with my internet. Bit odd though since I don’t even have a landline setup at my place.

Got a scam call again at 9 in the morning. The moment I picked up, the line just went dead once the answerphone kicked in. Using the answerphone is actually a decent way to handle these scam calls. Sadly, you can only block a limited amount of numbers. If this keeps up, I’m worried that landlines might end up pointless.

Back on 19th December 2018 at about 2:20pm, we got a call from 01863 265212. The caller said "hello" three times but when we didn’t answer, they just dropped the call. Some years earlier, we’d had other calls from different Highland area numbers too.
