I've been receiving calls from a strange number every now and then. It's quite puzzling who might be on the other end. I’ve never bothered to pick up. They never seem to leave any voicemail either.

I’m not entirely sure but it sounds like someone from E E’s sales team trying to drum up new contracts. This is the fifth time they’ve called me and I haven’t picked up!

A bloke with a northern accent called saying he was from EE. He wanted me to confirm some personal security info. Said I had some benefits I hadn’t used. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Bloke rang me two times in quick succession, just like you mentioned. I'm on pay-as-you-go with EE, and he insisted he could sort me out with a £16 contract. Despite me making it clear that I'm not keen, he kept going on about activating it regardless. What a cheek!

I received a couple of calls today from a chap with a distinct Northern accent. The first one was rather early, and the second came through at precisely 1:26 PM. When I inquired about who was on the line, he introduced himself as Ben from EE, trying to entice me with a £16 contract. I made it clear that I wasn't interested, but he persisted, getting rather aggressive and asserting that he’d go ahead and activate it for me anyway. It’s evidently a scammer trying to fish for my credit card information.

Got a call earlier today from a fella with a strong northern accent, rang me twice. When I answered the second time, he said he was from EE and warned me I was blowing too much cash on my pay-as-you-go because I'm heavy on data usage, which is true. Offered me a deal for £16 a month on a contract. I kept saying I was fine with pay-as-you-go, probably told him about ten times. Then out of nowhere, he said he’d just set up the contract for me anyway. Proper shady move if you ask me.

Got three calls from this number today and only picked up one. The caller said they were from EE and kept pushing hard to get me to agree to more EE services, especially some contract. They were pretty rude and didn’t seem to care about my situation at all. Kept asking for my personal info and account details, which I obviously refused to give. I’ve added them to my block list. You might want to do the same if you don’t wanna deal with this hassle. :)

Really sketchy. Said he was from EE. Starts the call by tempting me with some 'rewards' they say are on my account but I can't find any proof of them. When I asked what exactly these rewards were, he quickly pushed for my account details which EE should already know. From the way he was questioning, it was obvious he didn’t have a clue what kind of EE account I actually hold.

I had a right awkward encounter with a caller who claimed to be from "Re Rung" on the 8th of November 2019. They were insisting they could offer me a more favourable deal than the one I've already got, which immediately set off alarm bells in my mind. I've got a pay-as-you-go plan and my phone isn't even linked to EE; I solely top up through vouchers purchased in shops! I've never used my card or the EE app for anything since I can conveniently manage everything with a quick text to 150 for balance queries and the like. I've blocked their number, so they can keep trying to get through to me all they like. I even gave that bloke a right earful on the phone; he simply wouldn't take 'no' for an answer!

Normally, I wouldn’t recommend blocking numbers cos these scammers just change their number every few days and keep on going with the same trick. Plus, loads of call blockers only let you block a certain amount before they stop working properly. Scammers know this and take advantage of it. Best thing is to report this number to EE as a scam and then put it on your block list.

Got a call from EE (01844398604) and they were really pushy. The person kept talking over me and was quite rude, sounded like they were getting desperate. I just said goodbye and ended the call. Avoid this number!

Came to the UK back in July and got myself an EE number. Total regret! I get heaps of calls every day from this number and others claiming to be from EE. Turns out EE hands over their customer details to these companies so they can push pricier plans and offers. It's actually in the small print when you sign up with EE, so they won’t do anything about it. Right now, I'm switching to a different network just to get away from all these annoying calls.

Honestly, I wish I could track down one of these people ringing this number. My dad is 83, not in great health and we lost mum back in June. Now he’s getting hassled by EE, pushing him to sign up for some sim only contract. Give me a ring and tell me where you are so I can come round and scare you the way you’ve upset my dad.
