Got a call from someone who looked up my name and then called me Mr Peter, all polite and proper like they do in parts of Asia. Said it was about going over my insurance. When I asked which company they were with, they just kept repeating it was about a review. Then I asked straight up what COUNTRY they were calling from since the number showed Coupar Angus, Scotland. As soon as I said that, they just ended the call. Needless to say, I put them on the block.

Got a call from a man who tried saying my name, though he got it a bit wrong but close enough. He had a really heavy accent and kept going on about lowering my premiums. When I asked what premiums he meant, he said “life insurance premiums”. I told him I was fine with my current insurance and he just hung up. Even though he knew my name, he never mentioned which insurance firm he was representing. Feels like it might have been a scam to me.
