9 yearsA woman with an accent mentioned something regarding some sort of advisory panel before abruptly ending the call. This number keeps ringing me over and over again.9 yearsGot a call from a woman with a strong accent who sounded like she was just reading off a script, saying she was from “my bank” and needed to send me a cheque refund for some charges. She did have my surname (called me Mrs), and even my full address and postcode. Then she asked for my date of birth “for security reasons.” I wasn’t having it and said no, which upset her a bit, but I ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam to gather personal info for identity theft.9 yearsA woman with a pronounced accent, clearly reciting a script, contacted me, asserting that she was representing "my bank" and wished to send a cheque for some supposed refunds to my address. I stood my ground and declined to provide that info, despite her attempts to argue otherwise. I ended the call promptly. It was glaringly evident that this was a scam intent on acquiring further personal details for identity theft.9 yearsA bloke called John Smith rang me with a thick Indian subcontinent accent, saying I could get my bank fees back. I was under the impression that blocking a number would completely prevent any further calls, so it’s really quite irritating.9 yearsReceived an unsolicited call from a woman who said she was representing a Claims Advisory Service.
