What a total waste of time! I was subjected to some robotic AI voice rambling on about my Amazon Prime subscription being cancelled, insisting I press 1 to get in touch with someone. The moment I realised it was a scam, I immediately hung up and blocked the number. It all felt incredibly fishy. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of this nonsense!

This number didn't show up on my BT Call Guardian, so I can only conclude it's likely a scammer or a call centre. I've gone ahead and blocked it.

Received a call seeking someone else entirely! The caller then claimed to be from British Gas Boiler Service, claiming my monthly boiler service fees would be slashed to a mere £6.50. How ridiculous!

I really struggled to make out what the gentleman was saying because his thick Indian accent was so pronounced, coupled with a rather poor phone connection.

Hello there, I’m not quite sure what’s happening with this phone number. It belongs to my partner’s elderly mother, who is 84 years old. Unfortunately, she’s been inundated with calls all day long from individuals hurling insults at her, which has led her to disconnect her phone entirely. It’s truly distressing!

I had someone come round to inspect my boiler, just to make sure it was functioning properly. This chap was keen to peddle a maintenance plan at £6.99 a month. He got rather flustered when I seemed like I might be ending the call! Eventually, I decided to end the conversation myself.
