Got a call from 018272306678 again today, 12/06/23 at 17:31 - that makes twice now. Answered and the line just cut off. No idea who they are. Definitely not bothering to ring back, feels like a SCAM to me. I’ve removed the number from my contacts. This is actually the third time they’ve tried to get through. Seriously hope they stop soon, starting to think this number is outright DANGEROUS.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Relief Energy. Seemed like one of those voice recognition bots, cuz when I told them I’d never heard of them and that I’m on the TPS, they switched gears and started explaining their company. I asked again if they actually heard me and the reply was just a short NO before they hung up. Looks like a scam, they said they’re from Tamworth, which is miles away from where I live.

BEWARE OF SCAM CALLS! You should send scam texts to 7726 (this isn’t a police number) and then block the sender. It’s a good idea to write to your local MP asking why we’re swamped with these nuisance calls and scams. Also, why can’t we report scam attempts directly through the police’s ‘action fraud’ website anymore? Plus, why hasn’t our phone provider rolled out Caller ID Authentication tech yet? It could really cut down on these scam calls. For scam emails and screen grabs of scammy texts, forward them to the police at '[email protected]' so they can look into it properly.

This bloke James rang up, said he was from some energy savings place. When I asked what the call was about, he just kept repeating himself. He bombarded me with loads of questions, and I kept saying I didn’t really know. Eventually, he seemed to lose interest and snapped “have a nice day” at me. I just replied with a simple bye and that was that.

I got a call from someone called James at Relief Energy, but turns out it was one of those robot voices that replies no matter what you say. They might have a bunch of different numbers, not just 01827230678, so blocking one won’t stop them. It’s definitely a scam and really irritating. Best thing is to just hang up, as any response seems to make them call back again and again.
