This has to be one of the biggest scams around! I foolishly replied to their questions thinking it was really o2. They ended up changing my password, swapped my email to a very close one but with a different domain (same username but switched from gmail to some new outlook account), and attempted to order an iphone 13 to my place. Not sure what they hoped to get from it but I'd definitely block this number straight away.

I've had this number for ages and never had any dodgy calls before, but now I've had three spam calls in just a few days. If it keeps up I'm gonna have to get a call blocker or something. The only places I've given my number recently are a glasses repair shop and an NHS update form, both from last weekend, and now it seems like I'm all over the spam caller lists.

Right, Laura, you’ve got my number now. How about actually using it properly instead of bombarding me with those odd emails and weird calls that I’m meant to figure out like I’m some kind of genius? Then maybe you might let me ask how you’re doing... your majesty!

I received a rather dodgy call from a bloke claiming to represent O2 and inquired about my contract with them. He had the gall to suggest that he could slash my existing tariff by a staggering 40%. The kicker is, I’ve never even been an O2 customer! Naturally, I had to turn him down… what a cheek!

Looks like these scammers are making the most of the bank holiday to nick money from us again. If you’ve got an Android phone running version 8 or higher, it’ll probably flag the call as a scam anyway, which is a relief. Still, stay alert no matter what. These folks are NOT from Carphone Warehouse or O2; I’ve worked with the big telecoms and none of them use this area code for calls from outside. Keep your wits about you, folks, and just block these ####.

They had an Asian accent and their English was really bad. It sounded like a mobile phone scam where they try to get you to order the wrong phone and then have it sent back to them. I just told them someone was at the door and left them waiting.

Pretty sure this was a scam. He asked what the call was about, then acted like he was from Carphone Warehouse offering some latest phone 📱 with loads of data. When he asked how that sounded, I told him I’m fine, thanks for calling, and he just hung up. The phone stayed quiet for like 10 seconds before the call actually ended. If this was really Carphone Warehouse, they’d have some proper polite ending like “have a nice day” or something. These dodgy scammers deserve to be caught and made to listen to calls all day with a phone stuck to their heads.

Got a call from some Indian bloke sayin my internet was about to get cut off, all that rubbish. Asked him to prove who he was and he got proper nasty, started swearin and told me to bugger off then slammed the phone down. From now on, no more takin calls from landlines about any of my bills. If you dig a bit, you'll see it’s Media 10 pushing something I can't even bother to figure out. Honestly, I couldn’t care less. The great thing about the internet is that you can find pretty much whatever you need without hassle. Do we really need random callers trying to suss out your needs and just wasting time? And when you get a bit snappy, they act all offended, like your time doesn’t matter. What kinda managing director lets this nonsense go on in their company? Real talk: it’s gotta be a bad one, all about hitting targets instead of actually caring about customers.
